I can confirm that this works out of the box in Ubuntu 8. Didn’t try madwifi driver provided by Ubuntu restricted-modules. OK for Slackware Ad-hoc Mode doesn’t work for me at all. Only in other Linux distros the sensitivity is low sr5211a-00 of regional limitation, and sadly setting regional codes and modprobing doesn’t fix this ubuntu, in my case.
