My operating system Win XP Pro and applications are installed with all my tweaks and it’s running perfectly. I think the manual isn’t clear enough on setting up a second RAID. Keizer MVM Mar 9: Once that was done then the BIOS and windows would “see” the new hdd’s easily. I disconected the system disks, connected both new disks to the Intel connectors and booted up.
Perhaps there might be a list of revisions so you could see if theres anything worthwhile. This should start the Intel Raid configuration process.
This should be fairly straitforward and you can choose between RAID 0 and 1. I can’t live without my ghost images!

Is it better to not use the promise RAID controller? Can I just use the update drivers feature in device manager to update to the newer drivers?

You can format it using something like Partition Magic 8. They will need to be put on a floppy correct? Ask a question and give support. I had another question. I am just curious which of the two to use during the install of the OS??
Somebody pointed to the newest revision of drivers at Intel to install on floppy earlier in this thread.
